This year Nottingham Refugee Forum celebrates our 25th anniversary!
We were formed back in 2000 by a group of passionate and dedicated volunteers, who recognised the need to provide specialised support to asylum seekers and refugees in the area. From those beginnings, we have grown to a team of 200 volunteers and 50 staff, who provide a range of advice and support services, programmes to develop skills and confidence, and social groups to build friendships and a sense of community. Over the last quarter of the century we are proud to have supported 1000s of asylum seekers and refugees to help them rebuild their lives,
In the coming months we will be looking back at our achievements, and sharing stories and memories from many volunteers and clients who have been part of our story. We will also be inviting our friends and supporters to join us at a birthday party, taking place on Friday 13th June in our wonderful community garden. Please save the date in your diary!
