Leave a Legacy

What is Legacy giving?

A Legacy Gift is left to a charitable institution by a person in their will.

After providing for your loved ones, it is possible to support our work with a gift in your will. Legacy Giving supports our mission for the future. A gift in your will to Nottingham Refugee Forum can offer a warm welcome to asylum seekers and refugees for decades to come.

How can I set up a Gift in a will?

Thank you for considering this life-changing decision and leaving a gift that lasts a lifetime. Charitable legacies can be left through a will or by a declaration to the executors of the will with instructions as to how and to which charity the donation is to be distributed.

A Lasting Legacy

We are registered with the charity regulator in England and Wales, under number 1121560. We would never ask for card details, PINs or three-digit security codes. We do not provide legal advice. We recommend reading the Fundraising Regulator’s advice on donating safely to charity.

We usually recommend you consult a solicitor to make sure that all the legal formalities are covered and that your will is valid. The cost of the solicitor will vary depending on how complex your will is.

In Honour of a Loved one

You can honour a friend or family member by making a memorial gift, for instance via JustGiving‘s Memorial Page.

Get in touch about your legacy

There is absolutely no obligation to tell us if you choose to include us in your will. However, we are always happy to hear from our supporters, and by letting us know your intentions, we’ll know how best to support you. It also gives us a chance to thank you.

You can contact us at fundraising@nottsrefugeeforum.org.uk for any question or information request.
