Looking for somewhere to donate but don’t know where to go? We’ve put together a short blog to answer all your queries!
Our welcoming community space provides specialised advice and support to families and individuals who seek asylum or live as refugees in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We provide personalised support; helping people to navigate services until they are able to establish locally and feel confident once more.
Without donations, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
If you can, please consider giving a monthly donation to the Forum, to keep our vital work with people seeking safety in Nottingham going for years to come. You can make a one-off donation or set up your regular gift here.
We also welcome dry and long-life food donations for our foodbank and cash donations to support our services.

Where can I donate toys?
0-4yrs – The Vine Centre is looking for donations for newborn to 4 years old. We often refer new parents here so any donations are very welcome!
5yrs+ – A local charity shop is the best option throughout the year, it’s a cheap and affordable way for clients to choose toys.
Christmas
Every Christmas we collect new and unused toys for children aged 0-13 to distribute to families across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Keep an eye out on our social media to find out when we start collecting.

Where can I donate clothes?
Nottingham Clothes Bank – Run by Himmah, this clothes bank is located opposite our centre and is used by clients on Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays. Please look at their website and get in touch to find out what they need most.
Sharewear Nottingham – For the broader community this works on referral but is a wonderful community resource for our clients and they have supported us a lot over the years.

Where can I donate furniture?
The Furniture Project – Most used by our clients, through referrals our clients can get hold of key items for free. A vital resource for new refugees, especially families who face unfurnished properties.
British Heart Foundation or local charity shop – Goods cost but are free to deliver for our clients, still a great way for them to choose items and access good quality furniture for low prices.

Where can I donate baby items?
Baby Basics at Grace Church Nottingham
Located at Grace Church, Nottingham, they welcome baby essentials including baby wipes, nappies, formula, baby wash/cream, baby grows/sleep suits (newborn – 1 year). All items need to be new and sealed.
As mentioned earlier, The Vine Centre Nottingham welcomes donations for Newborns to 4yrs get in touch to see what they need.
