Thank you to our Team NNRF who have raised over £3,000 for Nottingham Refugee Forum at this year’s Robin Hood Half Marathon. The annual event, which took place on Sunday 24th September, saw 7,000 runners take on the 21km scenic tour of the city, via The Park, Nottingham Castle and Wollaton Park.
Bernard, Beth, Chloe, Ella and Hilary took on the challenge for us, some for the first time, while others knew the event by heart. A special shout out to Bernard, who has participated in every Robin Hood Half Marathon since its creation in 1981!
We also want to say a huge thank you to Emma and Elinor who fundraised £1,010 for us but were unable to participate due to injuries. We hope you recover quickly and wish you all the best!
Thanks also to our volunteers who cheered runners at the first and last mile. We were moved by the support of runners and passers-by reacting to Eve’s sign “I Welcome Refugees“. It was great to see such a showing of solidarity and compassion.
