The Robin Hood Half Marathon is always one of the highlights in our fundraising calendar, and this year was no different! Thanks to the incredible dedication of our supporters, we raised more than £6,000 to support refugees and asylum seekers in Nottingham.
This year we were proud to have a team of runners from the refugee community. A special shout out goes to Amde , one of our clients, who delivered an outstanding performance — finishing 15th out of over 9,000 runners with an incredible time of 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 23 seconds. Amde’s achievement is an inspiration to us all, showing the strength and resilience that refugees bring to our city.
If you’d like to congratulate Amde, and the other runners in our refugee team, there is till time to donate to their justgiving page
We also want to say a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who staffed the Nottingham Refugee Forum stall, cheered runners at our cheer point, and helped with marshalling on the day. Your energy and support made the event even more special. What a day to remember — full of community spirit, achievement, and hope. Here’s to next year!
