Last month we enjoyed a heart-warming evening of poetry celebrating migrants’ experiences, at the launch of the Poetics of Migration anthology.
The book is the outcome of a six-month knowledge exchange project, in collaboration with Notts Poetry and Nottingham Refugee Forum. Through a series of workshops in the summer, Notts Poetry worked with migrants, refugees and others to share their stories about the migration experience.
Over 70 guests attended the launch at the Playhouse’s Neville Studio, and so far £559 has been raised from book sales. Books are available for £10 each, and can be ordered via fundraising@nottsrefugeeforum.org.uk.
