Operations and Training Officer – Voices in Refuge

Voices in Refuge (VIR) is a community interest company owned by Nottingham Refugee Forum. We provide interpreting services in over 40 languages to charities, local authorities and other organisations, as well as deliver training on community interpreting to individuals and organisations in Nottingham, UK and internationally.  

This is a brand new role for the organisation, and will be crucial in helping us maintain an excellent level of customer service and administrative support to the VIR team. You will be responsible for ensuring a timely response to enquiries and bookings, keeping records and databases up to date, using QuickBooks to process invoices and expenses, and supporting the planning and delivery of our training courses. 

We are looking for someone with great organisational skills, who has successfully completed our Voices in Refuge interpreting training.

Job Details

Salary: £25,673 per year pro rata (£10,407 actual)
Hours: Part time (15 hours per week – flexible working, but must include some hours on Fridays)
Contract: Fixed term contract for 6 months
