Thanks to our amazing volunteers and supporters, we were able to spread lots of Christmas cheer last month. Our appeal for toys and gifts was a huge success, and thanks to our busy team of elves we were able to wrap, pack and deliver an incredible 233 presents to client families.
Thank you to all those who donated; we were overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness. A special shout out goes to Leah, Gedling Village Community and Care4Calais volunteers from Northampton who donated 200 gifts between them! Any spare gifts will be handed to new families attending General Advice throughout the next few months. Families were surprised by the deliveries and delighted to be able to give a little gift to their family members. We look forward to next year being bigger and better than ever! 60 clients came to our Christmas party on December 22nd, and enjoyed karaoke, games, crafts and feasting out in our cafe. Special thanks to staff members Valeria, Frank, Debbie, Meisha and Hamish who helped pull it together, and volunteer Eve who gave her time to welcome and support our guests (and wrap a whole host of presents!!) Thank you so much to the entire team, the festive season has been very busy and, although tiring, was such a joy!
