Jas and Yazdan from our Initial Accommodation team recently hosted two events at a local residential site housing asylum seekers, aimed at encouraging integration and improving wellbeing.
Our first event, ‘Bridge to Belonging’, aimed to connect asylum seekers with a range of volunteering opportunities and inspire active engagement within the community. We invited organisations from across Nottingham to come along and showcase their volunteering opportunities to the residents, helping to build connections and encourage mutual understanding.
We also put on a yoga session for the women living there, to help improve their physical and mental well-being.
These two events underline our commitment to support the empowerment of asylum seekers in Nottingham.
