Volunteering at NNRF is challenging and exciting, most of our projects are supported by the invaluable contribution of volunteers.

We can offer students and people from the local community an insight into the lives of those who have travelled hundreds and thousands of miles to seek sanctuary in this land, face them with facts and encourage them to speak up for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers. A large proportion of our volunteers come from refugee and asylum seeking background themselves. Volunteering at NNRF enables them to maintain their existing skills and develop new ones. It increases their confidence, improves their communication skills and motivates them to keep active and engaged.

Possible roles may include:

  • General Advisers
  • Administration
  • One Stop Shop and Housing Support
  • Reception
  • Interpreting
  • Saturday Food Group
  • Helping at one-off fundraising events.
