Save the date!! ExLibris mega-sale in Carlton this year will be 12th – 14th September
This will be the 8th annual second hand charity book sale where once again, proceeds will be shared between Nottingham & Notts Refugee Forum’s anti-destitution work, and Hayward House hospice. There will be a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books for adults and children from only 10p; also CDs, DVDs and delicious cakes!
This year’s special feature will be books from Ray Gosling’s personal collection, which his sister kindly donated to ExLibris. They include some fascinating items, such as books from his childhood; obscure and unusual subjects; books passed down from his grandparents. There will be a limit to the purchase of books from Ray’s collection to four per person on Friday and Saturday, giving everyone the chance to buy them. Any left unsold will be taken off ration on the Sunday.
Message from ExLibris re book donations: Thanks to everyone who gives us books. We are delighted to receive them. However, for storage reasons we are not able to accept: encyclopaedias, dictionaries, road atlases, reference books, hymn/prayer books, outdated travel guides, outdated textbooks, Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown, hardback crime/thrillers, magazines, puzzle books, outdated computing books, outdated law books, books about Princess Diana, Readers’ Digests, revision notes on Chaucer, Shakespeare etc, mucky/very torn and tatty/sticky books.
