We have an exciting opportunity for just twelve people interested in community interpreting in refugee and asylum situations. We are looking for people who have good English and a relevant language for refugee families, particularly Tigrinya, Oromo, Arabic, Farsi, Amharic, Kurdish or Vietnamese.
On completion of the course you will have the chance of volunteering with the NNRF to practise your skills. This is an excellent route into employment either with us or with outside interpreting agencies – and although we obviously cannot guarantee work, it certainly enhances your CV!
We will require 100% attendance on all the training days:
1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th August (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
9am – 3pm every day
